One word, 10 letters. A noun. Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines it as “a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else.”
Any guesses? It’s C O N N E C T I O N!
The word connection is one that is continually mentioned when discussing anything “business.” Whether it’s making a connection for the first time or spending valued time building on your previously made connections, we can all agree that business connections are vital to the growth of any company.
The Columbia Chamber of Commerce, along with Providence Bank, is hosting the 2017 Business Showcase, “The Power of Momentum,” on March 7th. This is The Premiere Chamber Day that you do not want to miss! It’s the perfect time to make “connections” with 100’s of Columbia’s finest.
Check out what a few of your fellow Chamber members have to say about why they attend the Business Showcase each year:
“I love attending the Business Showcase every year as it gives me the opportunity to network with over 100 businesses all in one day! Many of which I am exposed to for the first time while at the Expo. I’m able to make connections I may not have otherwise made.”
~Kerrie Bloss, Boys & Girls Clubs of America
“There are many reasons I attend the Business Showcase! To learn more about other Chamber member businesses and organizations, including products and services for both myself and the company I work for. To make connections and network with other professionals. To learn something new while attending the Women’s Network Luncheon. And, of course, lots of free stuff!”
~Emily Clapp, Veterans United
“I feel it is important to support the local business community and learn about new businesses through their showcased products and services. The Chamber supports out business and their legislative initiatives stand behind it. The Business Showcase supports our community and is a great way for new and existing businesses to present themselves to community leaders and executives. It’s a wonderful way to reach multiple audiences that are active and want to connect with others in business. I always plan to attend the Quarterly Membership Breakfast, the Showcase, and the Women’s Network Luncheon.”
~Brooke Berkey, Central Bank of Boone County
