Registration for the annual Leadership Visit opened on May 15 and less than 20 seats remain. This year’s visit will take place in Tuscaloosa from September 10-12 for 70 leaders in the business, civic, nonprofit, education and wider community from Columbia and Boone County. Specific sessions are being developed now, and may include topics of workforce development, entrepreneurism & retention of local business, transportation infrastructure, community growth, sports facilities and tournaments, impact of University research, and more to be identified. The Leadership Visit program is designed to explore topics of community significance in a comparable city, with the goal of bringing back positive ideas and strong relationships to implement these ideas. See registration information below if you want to sign up for one of the remaining spots. All details are coordinated for attendees, including charter flight from Columbia, hotel in downtown Tuscaloosa, ground transportation, educational sessions, and most meals.
